Fancourt Links Golf Course

The number one ranked golf course in South Africa, Gary Player considers this course to be his greatest design feat. Staying at the Apple and Spice Guesthouse allows good access to this challenging course. A rolling terrain with a dune-style landscape provides a unique experience.

Fancourt Outeniqua Golf Course

Considered the easier of Fancourt’s two original courses, Outeniqua has 18-holes in a stunning setting of mountains, water and wildlife. It has been charming players since its opening in the early 90’s with its world-class conditioning.

Fancourt Montagu Golf Course

Located in the same spectacular setting as the Outeniqua course but offering a more challenging experience. This exquisitely designed course has been sculpted with attention to detail and gives any golfer staying at the Apple and Spice Guesthouse a great experience.

George Golf Course

No golfer staying at Apple and Spice guesthouse would want to miss out on this course, among the oldest in the country. Designed by Dr Charles Molteno Murray, it is ranked in the top 10 golf courses in the country. This manicured 72 par course is set in the heart of the Garden Route and is a must visit with accommodation so nearby.

Knysna Golf Course

Apple and Spice Guesthouse’s central Garden Route location provides great access to this stunning golf course set on the shores of the Knysna Estuary. Boasting holes below sea level and sea water in play on 10 of its 18 holes, this course demands accuracy from golfers thanks to its Parkview layout.

Goose Valley Golf Course

This pristine course offers dramatic views of the ocean, mountains, fynbos and resident birdlife thanks to its location. Many of the holes of this combination Links and Parkland course are flanked by a nature reserve. Oubaai Golf Course

Ernie Els’ first signature course, this par 74, 18-hole masterpiece was designed with the technical advice of Nicklaus Design. Players are presented with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the Gwaing River Valley on this challenging but enjoyable course. This Garden Route course is only a short drive away from the Apple and Spice Guesthouse.

Oudtshoorn Golf Course

Having accommodation at Apple and Spice Guesthouse allows Garden Route golfers great access to this haven of green among the famous arid scrubland of the little Karoo. This Links course combines kikuyu fairways and cynodon greens with trees and a large dam to make strategic play a necessity.

Plettenberg Bay Golf Course

Surrounded by high hills and set in a nature reserve in the Piesang valley. The course was upgraded in 2000 and is now in accordance with USGA specifications. The Apple and Spice Guesthouse provides accommodation in easy reach of this picturesque course.

Pezula Golf Course

This outstanding golf course has invited favourable comparisons to Gleneagles in the Scottish Highlands and Pebble beach on the Monterey coastline.
